Fantastic food at incredibly reasonable prices whether you are there for a meal or to buy raw seafood to take home and cook. Super friendly staff and not a long wait time for your food. You will not find Seafood in this area for this price and quality anywhere else. They do serve a pretty good selection of beer also. Well worth the trip.

I have continually given this place chances since all I ever read is good reviews but I have never once in 4-5 visits now had a good experience. The staff I've interacted with are typically rude and seem irritated at any questions. My food is always soggy and or cold and I live 2 min down the road. My last visit last week my fried haddock was black and stunk like fish. Not something that should have ever been served to a customer.

The food is always great... But I don't know how to phrase this without being disrespectfull or mean because I been coming here for years and never had a problem but today the little phat chick you have working the counter the one with the bull piercing was very rude and disrespectfull I don't know if she was hungry or just had a bad day but she might of lost a good customer....

Food is great but due to location there's always a long wait. Need to have 2 windows with separate lines, 1 for ordering and 1 for pick up.

The food is fine but the service has declined greatly in recent months.Counter people who don't care, food not ready when promised, orders mixed up.Again, the chef is great, but the people you interact with which obviously rather be somewhere else.

This little place has some of the very best seafood you can ever get. It's small and quaint, always bustling with life, and amazing food. If your looking for good seafood in the area, this is by far and away the best place.

This place is awesome. If you like seafood you should go here. Not fancy. But good is good.

1st and last time I've eaten there. I had heard so many great things about this place that I had to try it myself. Went there yesterday for the first time with the wife. After waiting in line for over 45 minutes, I ordered and waited another 20 minutes for my meal. I ordered the seafood platter. The little chunk of haddock I got burnt the roof of my mouth but the clams,scallops, and shrimp were not even warm. It was obvious, they cooked the other items first then the fish last. Also, for $27, I would have expected a little more than 4 fried clams, 3 scallops, 1 little piece of fish and 3 Jumbo shrimp. The process is extremely flawed. Wait in line to order then sit and wait to eat. Why not just take the orders from the tables rather than having to line up out the door. I will continue to wait until my little ice cream place in Lancaster opens up after memorial day, wink, wink. They serve up a much better seafood plate than this place.

Ordered a combo platter, bay scallops and haddock chunks. This meal was to be split by 2 people. For the price we paid was ridiculous. We received 4 scallops and the tail end of the fish(it had no fish just skin). Worst meal we ever had!!! It will take a long time before we ever think about about going back. Would not recommend eating/ordering here.

Excellent! Had the fish nuggets. So much food for only $8. So worth it! Would definitely go again. Nice side choices. Came will cole slaw (very good) and choice of French fries, baked potato, and 2 or 3 other choices I don't remember (sorry) lol. But I brought home a doggie bag, so plenty of food. Nuggets were fresh & tender.

I come here just for the twin lobster dinner because where else can you grab all this for just 19.99 ?! Plus the large drink was One whole dollar. Plus they have a menu full of great options for a cheap price! The ladies working were very pleasant and happy. They were singing in the background having fun, it's nice to see smiles in a great establishment ! Place is clean and roomy to sit. Thankyou again!

🙂Drove 1 hr and 15 mins to get these delicious lobsters!!...so buttery and tasty. My only critic will be.. The coleslaw, its so delicious but you only gave a little!!! More coleslaw please😀... Other than that fries lobster and coleslaw delicious!!!!

Food was excellent, nice and fresh! Service was also great. Only complaint is small beer selection, very few craft beers to choose from. Otherwise a good experience, will b going back!!

The food, for the most part, is always good. Be prepared to wait for your food though. A little over an hour tonight and thats normal.

If you want to wait 1:30 minutes for just your average seafood then it’s definitely the place for you! Place is ridiculously slow! People cooking in the kitchen with no gloves, go raw to cooked food...

The Staff needs to be a little more welcoming to their Customers. They all seem to be in bad mood. I have been in the customer service industry for many years and customer service to me is vitally important!

Fresh seafood market. Usually good selection of products. For old folk like me seems they really try to maintain safe distance protocol.

Always a great place to dine in or to buy fresh seafood and fish. The portions are a great size, reasonably priced, and delicious always. I've never been disappointed.

Delicious food, fair prices, and the place looks much better now that they've renovated! Only thing I'd say is the lady taking orders needs to be a little more pleasant. Every time I've gone, she always seems to be in a bad mood or snide and not personable at all. Can't beat the freshness of the seafood!

I’m very disappointed. My family has been buying seafood here for years. We bought Lobsters and steamers. I ordered 1 1/2 lb hard shell lobsters and got the grosses soft shell lobsters I have ever eaten. I could not eat the claws they were like so mushy. The soft shell lobsters were $4.99 lb. The clams were very sandy and dirty. I paid $7.99 a pound I should have gotten the hard shells and I didn’t. How do I know this because there was 1 hard shell 1 1/2 lbs lobster in the bunch and it was exactly what I expected.

The fresh stuffed crab and clam - scallops are insane, and you can't beat the price. Lobster was really good, but I only eat the claws cause I don't eat anything with eyes, well almost anything . . . lol

Have been going to S S Lobster since I was a kid. My grandparents, parents, my husband, and son have all enjoyed their food! They sell raw, for you to take home and cook, or they will cook it for you. You can sit in to eat or take out. During Lenten season, they get busy on Fridays, so allow time, and be nice to them! Good folks, good food, and they recently took over Kay's on Gardner/Westminster line!

Best seafood in town . You are looking at the captain's plate. Delicious and more than enough food for two people.

I ordered a clam chowder soup bowl. For a starter. Which was great. Then I ordered at the same time potato skins with covered in cheddar cheese with bacon which was awesome. Then I ordered grilled chicken with a side of baked potato. Which were incredibly delicious. The ordering process was long because they were basically full. Not to capacity but there was a lot of people there and I got why my mother loves the place. I wound up liking loving the place. I should mention they are no refills.

It is very clean and staff are friendly. They like too keep the customer's happy. Also, they are working there hardest to make the line go a lot quicker. The food is the best.

Usually solid food, must have new staff because lobster was crazy over cooked and stuffed haddock had a pound of old bay on it and could only taste salt. Hope it’s figured out. Also had a hair in lobster roll

Overall It's a great place for seafood at good prices and quantity. The fish is almost always very nicely cooked moist rarely ever dry or greasy. The tough part is how popular the place is, which can mean a wait. Unless I'm really hungry, I wait! During nice weather, I might call in the order and take it outside to eat, which can be faster. I rate this fare better than Kimball Farms for price. Plus SS Lobster is year round eating enjoyment.
